Haarlem Pub Crawl: Brown Cafés & Local Bars, Self-Guided App Tour
40 minutes
About this experience
Haarlem still drinks in brown cafés that work as a neighbourhood living room. The crawl starts on the Grote Markt, then In den Uiver in a former fish shop on the Riviervischmarkt, and De Blauwe Druif on Lange Veerstraat, open since 1863. Copper kettles sit where the altar was in the Jopenkerk, the old Vestekerk of 1910. Het Wapen van Bloemendaal keeps seven layers of wallpaper. It ends at Bar Boef on Kleine Houtstraat. Eight stops, about 2 km. Most rooms open from mid-afternoon. How it works This is a self-guided digital walking tour in the StepQuests mobile app. There is no live guide. After booking you receive an email invitation code to unlock the route. Walk at your own pace in Haarlem with GPS navigation and stories at each stop.
