The walk starts in São Bento station, where José Marques da Silva wrapped a ticket hall in azulejos, then passes the Palácio da Bolsa and São Francisco, Gothic outside and gold leaf inside. The British Factory House still sits quietly on Rua do Infante. The iron arch of Dom Luís I carries metro on the upper deck and walkers below. On the Gaia side, Sandeman has aged Port since 1790. Twelve stops, about 3.5 km, finishing at Taylor's terrace looking back at the granite city.
